Cub Camp Report!
Posted on 26 May 2018
This is the first time I have been to Cub Camp. I arrived on Friday night. The campsite was deep in the woods and was really big. My tent was quite small and cosy and four of us shared it. I unpacked and then went off for an explore with my friend, Dylan. Later there was a cool disco outside in the field. Someone dressed up as a Telly-Tubby, which was really funny. At the end of the disco, we had a hotdog and a hot chocolate which was really yummy. Then we went to bed at 10pm but stayed up chatting until midnight!
The next morning, I woke up really early – at 5am! It was really cold! I got up, brushed my teeth, got dressed and played with my friends until breakfast time. Breakfast was bacon, beans and eggy bread. I really loved it and it was good to eat something warm and tasty.
After food it was activity time! We got into groups of 2-3 and went off to explore. I tried Sumo wrestling and had to get dressed up in a fat suit! I then went on the inflatable assault course, which had pop up snakes that you had to bash out of the way. After lunch I did cross bow and archery, then I went on a bouncy castle which had a huge wrecking ball. We had to try and knock each other over. There were so many activities like shooting, pedal carts, the climbing wall and loads more but I didn’t have time to do everything.
Before dinner I went to the shop and bought me and my friend a new woggle and some marshmallows. I also bought my brother, George, a bouncy ball. Dinner was chicken, potatoes and broccoli. After dinner we got into our pyjamas and gathered round the campfire. We sang round the fire and learnt sign language. We went to bed at 10 o’clock. We were too tired to talk as it had been such a busy day and we went straight to sleep!
The next day I woke up at 7am and had pan au chocolate and a croissant breakfast, then packed up all my stuff. We were then allowed to run around and play games.
After lunch our parents came to pick us up. It was great to see my mum, dad and brother. My first cub camp was really cool. I had loads of fun and I made new friends. I can’t WAIT until the next one.
